Wedding Bliss

We traveled 2 hours today to a good friend's daughters wedding. We had a great time seeing everyone and talking to them. The bride was beautiful!!!
The humidity and the GNATS were not. I remember now why I don't miss that place. The people are great though!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

Let's just say that my itch has been scratched

We headed out on Friday afternoon to Oconee State Park. James had been asked by our dear friends to preach while they were gone from their church yesterday. Yes, Poplar Spring folks, you were missed. Anywho, I got turned around and went to Westminster instead of Walhalla and was late getting there with our supper. James wasn't miffed at all about his supper being cold, he was just glad that I was ok. We slept in late (what is that?) and jumped in the convertible and had a wonderful, romantic day. We wound through the mountains and came out in Dillard, Ga. We ate at the Dillard House. It was - oh - my - goodness, make-you wanna-slap-your-grandma-good!! I couldn't afford to eat there often but it was worth it. We came back so we could see our girl. She came to the camper and we watched movies and had a good time. We met some sweet new friends at the Monte Vista Baptist Church yesterday. So... I had been itching to spend some time in our camper, and now that itch has been scratched. That is, for a week or two at least. Night ya'll, Lynn

One thing to not do in a convertible

You guessed it. I picked the convertible to ride in today to my 5:30 appointment to open a new pt. As per my M.O. (or mode of operation), I began to put on my makeup. Yes, James was driving! Lotion.Check. Undereye Concealer.Check. Liquid Makeup....... Uncheck...all over my new cute skirt from the QVC out-let that I paid all of $5.00 for. Lesson learned. NEVER try to put on makeup in a convertible. James says, "Good idea." Night ya'll, Lynn

Rainey Days and Mondays

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while but I have been half lazy and half busy. I used to always be home on Monday evenings but recently I have been busy, busy, busy. Last night, we met dear friends at the Greenville Drive game and had a fabulous time. We ate at the Liberty Tap Room. I had a steak and cheese sandwich and homemade potato chips. It got a little chilly but I had a coat with me. We took Casey some items that she needs in her "apartment". I miss her and it's hard to believe that she has a job and is living on her own. My babies are adults now. I hope that we've honored God in the way that we raised them. Love you Joshua and Casey. Night ya'll, Lynn

Whew!! What A Day

Whew, what a day !! We got up and went to a meeting about Bible School and I came home and promptly fell asleep. I got up and did some laundry and got ready for my adopted grandson's first birthday party. He is so precious. He stuck his head in the cake and went for it. His brother took some icing and smeared it all over his face. It was so cute. Now, I'm home cooking for tomorrow. I am making out hamburger patties and potato salad. I will make baked beans tomorrow. Can't wait to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom and James' mom. It will be a great day!!!

Two Faced Christians

I know it's Sunday and it is a day of rest but I can't rest until I get this off of my chest. Why do so many Christians work so hard behind the scenes to undermine the pastor's leadership? We brought a bus from James' second job to church. He wants to sell it. There were some people behind the scenes spreading untruths about the bus before anyone even said ANYTHING about the church buying it. It was just brought so that everyone could see it. James will not even recommend that we buy it. The seniors have a hard time getting into the van as they have to step over the wheel well to get to the back seats. It will be so great for all the outings that the church goes on. So we will see what happens. Thanks for listening to my rants. Now I can take a nap. Love, Lynn
