30 December 2010 And this little piggy cried wee wee all the way home!!

I got up early this am after the dogs woke me up barking outside. Went to Greer hospital for an admission. Then ate lunch with two of my three favorite people. I ran in Old Navy to buy a birthday present and back home. Found out that my glasses were ready so I high tailed it to Gwd. to get them as they are closed tomorrow. It is taking some adjustment to the transition lenses again after the readers. Then Casey and I stopped for an eyebrow wax and decided to get a pedicure too. The piggies look so good now and I love time with my girl. She will be back at NGU before I know it.
I love you sweetie beatie!!

26 December 2010 Christmas Wrap Up

We enjoyed two great Christmas celebrations at the Rodgers and the Adams households. Friday night, we feasted on spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, and cheese bread. And ... of course, the desserts. Then on Sunday, we gathered at the Adams household and feasted on turkey, ham, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, pineapple casserole, dressing and gravy, and butter beans. And again, the desserts. The most important part of the two days was being together with family. Not to be depressing, but we are not promised tomorrow. Every holiday is a blessing!!! I didn't want the day to end.

18 December 2010 Sarge Is Back !!!!!

We lovingly call my mom sarge. We have had a three year reprieve from "Sarge". But all good things come to an end. Sarge is back. I accidentally called her on the cell phone yesterday and here is the gist of the conversation.

Me: Sorry mom. I dialed you. I am in the eye doctor's office. We may come by afterwards. Do you know what day we're getting together for Christmas?

Mom: No but I should know tomorrow.

Me: Well, Cheryl and I need to know so that we can get the food and have it ready.

Mom: Well, I've already cooked the cornbread this morning.

Me: That's all that you need to fix. We'll get the rest.

Mom: Well, you know I have that turkey breast.

Me: I'm getting the ham and the rest of the food.

Mom: Your daddy and I are going to the grocery store soon and I'M buying the ham.

Me: Mama, now you need to take it easy and don't overdo and go backwards.

Mom: You don't know nothing, I haven't been turned up yet. (She's referring to her pacemaker being turned on for activity).

Me: (Thinking to myself) Why can't parents just mind their kids ?)

Sarge is DEFINITELY back!!!! But I love her and I'm glad.

16 December 2010

So thankful that mom is over the hump with the pacemaker insertion. She did great but said she wouldn't do it if she knew what all it entailed. That's why they don't tell you all of it beforehand, mom. I love her so much. She has been a trooper. So has my dad. He has been a great nurse, cook, and laundry man. He got a good taste of what all mom does, even at 85!! He handled it well and came through it great. Now we can relax and enjoy Christmas.

12 December 2010 Super Sunday

We had a great lunch today at home. I put a chicken and rice casserole in the oven before church, and Casey made tea and Caesar's salad. We enjoyed being together and not getting home at 2:30. Now I have to pack for Denver. I am excited but know that it will be a long trip. James is excited that I will be near the Denver Broncos training camp. I am excited that it will be warm there. I was afraid that it would be cold there but it is supposed to be in the 50's. I can stay warm in that temp. Talk to you in Denver tomorrow night!!!!!!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

10 December 2010 bizzzy bizzzy

Today was a busy busy day. I worked and worked and cooked and cooked. We took mom and dad food for tonight and for Sunday. We took chili for tonight and chicken casserole and broccoli salad. Dad must have been hungry because he had the table set and pulled the pot out to warm it time we walked in the door. Mom is getting stronger and looks good. She sounded like her old self today on the phone. It was so good to hear that. Night ya'll, Lynn

9 December 2010 OUCH!!!I

Today was a great day at work. It was a pretty productive day. Casey cooked supper and I cleaned the kitchen up. My legs started hurting so I came in the den to put them up. Now I am watching "The Mentalist" with
Simon Baker. I feel so unproductive this evening. Talk about vegging out!!! Hello, that is me.

2 December 2010

Well, mom is doing better each day. I appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers that were sent up for her. She is precious and I want her healthy and with us as long as possible. We had 3 good visits with potential members. including my School class member, Frankie. He is so precious and I wish I had more like him in there but I like the one on one classtime. One more day and it's Friday and payday!!! Yippeee!! Night ya'll, Lynn

# 30 thing that I am thankful for is......spending time with mom and dad. Even though it was because mom got a pacemaker, we still had a good time together. We looked at old pictures and all kinds of things. Good to reminisce....good to be with mom and dad. Priceless. Night ya'll, Lynn

29 November 2010

Sunday, November 28, 2010

28 November 2010

# 28 thing that I am thankful for is ...... Bailey's stretching. He looks so cute stretching and yawning at the same time. When we pet him, he also rolls over and shows his "big" teeth to us. He started that several years ago. He lights up my life!! Night ya'll, Lynn

Saturday, November 27, 2010

27 November 2010

the 27th thing that I am thankful for is ....... naps. I wish I could nap every day but that doesn't happen. When I sleep, I sleep for 2 hours. I can't set the alarm for 30-45 minutes and get up. But naps are great. Night ya'll, Lynn

Friday, November 26, 2010

24 November 2010

# 24 thing that I am thankful for is ...... two days off, including Thanksgiving. My parents are came, my sister was already here, and my brother, sister-in-love, and neice came as well. We celebrated her birthday as her special day was the 23rd. She is sweet 16 and ready to drive.

# 25 thing that I am thankful for is...... hearing my mom's compliments about my and my sister's cooking. Also, my dad's compliment that he wanted Our plans are flexible, as mom will be one week post op from the pacemaker insertion. We will just play it by ear.

# 26 thing that I am thankful for is..... Black Friday shopping and Bailey's successful surgery. I did not get anything "BIG" from the big box stores but we got in during the lull. Bailey did fabulously during the surgery and recovery. Then his teeth got cleaned and polished. He should be good for a while. The stitches come out in two weeks. He has already pulled the bandage down. So I have to go and devise a back up plan for the bandage. Pray that I come up with one that will stay put. Any ideas???? Night ya'll, Lynn

The # 20 thing that I amn thankful for is ........ our brotherhood. They worked hard all day to build a deck and a ramp for a church member of ours.
She has had nerve damage from the chemo and radiation that she had and she can't walk. She will come home from the rehab center on Tuesday just in time for Thankgiving. Now she can get in and out of the house easily. Thanks guys for being the church. Night ya'll, Lynn

# 18 that I am thankful for is.......that I am not going to hell. Jesus paid the price so that no one would have to experience hell. Take him up on his free offer. Night ya'll, Lynn

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

17 November 2010

# 17 that I am thankful for......heaven. I am reading a book, 23 minutes in hell. He describes hell as a dark, dark place. So dark that you can feel it. Creatures are evil and they rip your skin and you do not bleed or die. You are alone in a prison cell and then you are taken, alone, to be placed in a fiery furnace that does not burn you up. And the smell is putrid and sulfur and rotting meat. You are thirsty and cannot get a drip of water, much less a glass. Does this sound like where you would like to spend eternity?? Please know that Jesus died to save you from your sins and hell. Won't you accept Him today? Call me if you have questions. Night ya'll, Lynn

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

16 November 2010

# 16 thing that I am thankful for is...... friends. We are at the SC Baptist Convention and have re-connected with friends from Myrtle Beach area. James and Sylvia Herring. Monday, November 15, 2010

15 November 2010

# 15 that I am thankful for is .....Dr. James Merritt. He spoke at the South Carolina Baptist Convention and spoke to my heart. Such an encouraging message. He is such a Barnabas type. Watch him Sunday mornings on TBN @ 8:30 am. You'll be blest. Night ya'll, Lynn

14 November 2010

# 14 and counting... the thing that I am thankful for is cars. We left for Columbia at 9:00 pm and by 12mn, we are in the room and relaxing. We would have had to have left days ago to get here if we were walking. It is now 12:55 am and so it is bedtime for all good little girls. Night ya'll, Lynn

Sunday, November 14, 2010

12-13 November 2010

# 12 that I am thankful for is .... our new dog, Champ. He is so much fun and he is so like an excited little boy when he sees us!! He, Dooley, and Bailey are still adjusting to each other. He was in a pen where he had enough room but now he has plenty of room to run anywhere he wants to. He's my new baby boy.

# 13 that I am thankful for is....North Greenville University being close enough to drive to in one day. We took James' work vehicle back (a.k.a. the limousine) and then we picked up Katie, Paul, and Casey up. We then went to Waffle House for lunch. We then went to Dollar Tree to pick out our items for the Operation Christmas Child boxes. We got them back and hit it up the road back to Iva. We made it back just in time for 5:30 and to go to Yoder's. Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

Thursday, November 11, 2010

11 November 2010

# 11 I am thankful for ..... my daughter. She is my commrade against the guys (James and Joshua). She makes me smile when I am down. She is a fashionista-- she helps her dad coordinate his suits and ties. She still loves to read. She loves college and her friends there, and I love how she loves Jesus. I love the young woman that God is molding her to be. I love you sweetie beatie!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

10 November 2010

# 10 I am thankful for ,,,,,my bed. It is a king sized pillow topped bed. It is SO soft. I am like granny. I don't want to go out of town Sunday pm cause my bed will have to be left behind. It is the most comfortable bed that was made. Sweet Dreams!! Night ya'll, Lynn

7-9 November 2010

Wow, I am behind. Sorry gals who follow my posts. I didn't realize that I was 3 days behind. So here goes....

# 7 that I am thankful for is... my son. He is my firstborn. He turned 25 last week but he will always be my baby. Now he is in college and will be finished next Christmas. He will have a degree in business management. He has the sweetest girlfriend, Kerry-Ellen. He can make me laugh when I feel bad and can talk me into buying him almost anything. I love him so much.

# 8 that I am thankful for...my mom. She is the most amazing woman that I know. She has kept my dad straight for 60+ years (spoiled is more like it) and is still sane. She took care of the 4 of us kids and kept up with all of my Mama's appointments too. She loves me unconditionally and reprimands me when I'm wrong. She's my hero and I hope I can be half the lady that she is when I am her age. I love you, Mom.

# 9 that I am thankful for is my dad. He is the most awesome man that I know. I am still daddy's little girl at 50 and love to talk to him anytime.
He spoiled me rotten and loves me unconditionally. He's my hero. And I love him with all that I am. I love you daddy. I appreciate what you are doing to take care of mom. Night ya'll, Lynn

# 6 I am thakful for family time. We went to the Clemson- North Carolina State game. We were together on the way up and back but Casey and I were in the nosebleed section and James and Joshua were much further down.(We were given two tickets and had to buy two). We could see the game and what happened so well. I liked being up high. Well, maybe a little lower. We had a great time, Then we met my sister, Cheryl, at Fatz Cafe' for dinner. We are resting and watching a Hallmark movie now. I still have to look over the Sunday School lesson and get things together. Night ya'll, Lynn

5 November 2010

# 5 I am thankful that Sandra, Skeeter, and the girls are ok after a deer fought their car and the deer won. Off the car went and off they went in Jimmy and Clara's big SUV. Thanks Jimmy and Clara. Also thankful for strangers who left their car running and put the girls and Sandra in there to stay warm. There are still good people in Iva. Night ya'll, Lynn

4 November 2010

I am thankful for # 4.... my husband. He is my love, my soul mate, my encourager, my chauffeur, my pastor, my children's father, my bed buddy, and my friend. He loves driving me to my patient's homes and reads or sleeps while I go in and do the admission. Then he drives us home. Sometimes, I read or sleep, he doesn't care. He's mine and I'm thankful for him every day. Night ya'll, Lynn

3 November 2010

I am thankful that God has chosen to use me as his hands in this ministry called nursing. When I think about quitting, I have a day like today. Then God says, You can't quit, you are my hands in the guise of a care manager. I admitted a precious lady named Valerie and she is a joy. Please pray for her as she is a breast cancer survivor and the disease has spread to her head and spine. I stayed at her house for 3 hours. She and I had such a great time sharing. I felt so useful to her. Sometimes, I feel bad getting paid for this. But I guess this is God's way of providing for our family. Night ya'll, Lynn

2 November 2010

Thankful Tuesday... Several of my blog friends are posting a comment each day about something they're thankful for. So I thought I'd hop on the bandwagon and ride along. And since it's the second day of November, here are # 1 and # 2:

1) Christian parents- We don't get a "vote" in who our parents will be, but I'm glad that we don't. God picked out the perfect parents for me. I am the youngest of 4 children and I was a surprise baby but God knew what he was doing when he matched us together. I grew up in church 9 months before I was born and wasn't given a choice of whether I wanted to go or not. I went regardless. I can't say I was always happy with church, i.e. when my dad had those looong meetings several nights a week. I am a better pastor's wife today because of my upbringing.
2)For being a pastor's wife- I know God has a sense of humor here because I used to think that being a pastor's wife was glamorous!! A little less glamorous from the inside out but it has been a great journey. I also enjoy the parish nurse role because it gives the congregation the freedom to ask questions that they might not ask the doctor.
Tune in tomorrow for my # 3 thing(not in order of importance) that I am thankful for!! Night ya'll, Lynn

31 October 2010

Today is Sunday night. The weekend is over and it's a sad day. The weekends go faster and the week days go slower. I am getting tired of working. I don't want to get up early. I wish I was retired and could set my own schedule. My housework would get done and I would not be so tired all the time. Oh well, enough of my whining. I got started on the garage on Saturday. I didn't get much done but I did all that I needed to do. If I push myself, I will regret it. Tomorrow's another day so I will post again soon. Night, Lynn

25 October 2010

WORK, WORK, WORK!!! I had a long day at work and then loaded the dishwasher. I cleaned off of the table too. This am, I cleaned off the washer and dryer. 24 October 2010

Great weekend!!! Saturday was Homecoming at North Greenville U. and I spent the day with Casey. I taught Sunday School and Children's Church. Then James took me out to lunch and bought me a cool breast cancer awareness shirt from Logan's Roadhouse. Little shopping and a little nap and it was time for church again.Burger King where you CAN have it your way, Joshua Rarrers. Then home for Brothers and Sisters. Can you believe that the husbands are breaking up?? possibly?? Night ya'll, Lynn

21 October 2010

Typical Day in the life of Lynn, RN. My phone system, Avaya, is still not working. When I dial anyone, it transfers me to an HMO, regardless of what I dial. It's crazy. I hope it's an easy fix in the am. I am getting back two former pts. One is in Starr. Can you believe it? I'll be glad to see her again but sad that she's not doing well. The other pt. is in Emory Hospital in Atlanta and may get to come home tomorrow or Saturday.
Tomorrow is Friday, Woo Hoo!!!! The youth are going to a corn maze at Denver Downs in Pendleton, SC. I've never done one before so it should be fun. James will be driving the limousine. Saturday, he will be driving as well. Casey and I will be together until he's through. Unless she's too busy working with the Campus Ambassadors. If so, I'll sleep and read.
This is random, but I just finished watching "Letters to Juliet" and it is one to buy. Great lovestory!! Night ya'll, lynn

20 October 2010

I have FINALLY gotten my laptop set up at work. I have taken down the desktop and will mail it back to New Jersey. It is nice to work while riding in the car. The internet is slower than being at home. My hubby has not been feeling well today so I have let him rest all day. He did teach tonight at church. Joshua and I went to get something for supper and rented and bought some DVD's. We had a quiet, typical day. Quiet is good!!
Night ya'll and sweet dreams!! Lynn

20 October 2010

Home again... as nice as the pool was last night, it is good to be at home again. Home is where ...
-your loved ones are.
-your pillow top king mattress is (not queen).
-your comfortable chair in front of the TV is placed.
-your favorite drinks are in the frig.
-your favorite 4 legged friends are, wagging their tails and running to
greet you.
-you feel needed.
And finally,
-the heart is.
Night ya'll and sweet dreams, Lynn

Guess where we are? We are in South Georgia at a great hotel. We got in the pool and the jacuzzi. It was wonderful for my legs. I have a pt. to see tomorrow in Lyons,Ga. We decided to come down tonight and relax a little. It has been a great mini-getaway for me, James, and Joshua. I played Justin Bieber in the pool (just ask Joshua) and had a great time.
It did start out as Cousin It. Silly times....a great way to relieve stress and sleep good too. Night ya'll, Lynn

Cool weather......Falling leaves.....working in the yard..........
Tomorrow is supposed to be fall weather. Yea!!!! I am going to love it but I am dreading the cold weather. Maybe we will have a mild winter. I know God created winter but it is not good for someone with fibromyalgia.
Cold is my enemy. Please don't take that as complaining... just stating fact. I am excited about the possibility of the convertible being fixed soon. My husband has promised me a ride in the mountains and a picnic...sounds like a romantic day to enjoy part of God's creation. How can anyone look at the mountains and not believe in God???

2 October 2010

WELCOME FALL!!! I woke up to the sweet voices of Linden and Jillian. They are sweet even though Jillian confirmed that Aunt Lynn snored last night. Girls night out was great. The concert was great for a girls night out. Thanks mark. We had a muffin and coffee and vacuumed Christy's mom's house. I got some wonderful rosemary and some cuttings from Christ's mom's house too. Cross your fingers that they live. I love plants and shrubs.
To Greenwood to get my Two Old Bags fix. Joshua and Kerry-Ellen came in and we had fun talking. On to Highland Drive to see mom and dad a while. Then my son had to eat so we went to Chick-Fil-A. I dropped them off by the apartment and to Iva I headed. I am here chillin' with my man and enjoying the internet. Night ya'll, Lynn

Yes, it is 2:00 am. I am waiting for the Ambien to kick in and just wanted to say Praise God, from whom all blessings flow. Some of my blessings today on my least favorite day of the week: 1) my hubbie to chauffer me to Aiken to see a pt, 2) the rain, 3) seeing my mom and dad, 4)steak and taters with onions, 5)forgiveness of my son when I shouted at him (and I was wrong), 6)not much pain even though we have had a glorious 3+ inches of rain since yesterday am, 7)getting wet in the rain while running to the car, 8)putting my adorable daughter's face on the front of my phone, 9) being able to see my loved ones faces, and 10) an awesome, wonderful God.
I saved the best for last!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

This week has been busy for me and my family. Work has been busy and revival has taken every evening. This weekend we will be at NGU for Parents Weekend with Casey. She is doing so well this year. I am so proud of her. We are planning to take the camper up and have a cookout for her and her suite mates. We will be all laughs if I know her suite mates. Saturday, she will be busy with giving tours to prospective students so we can chill in the camper. Hoepfully, it will be a relaxing weekend.

11 September 2010

A day that will always be remembered 9-11-2001 We were living in Wrens, Georgia and I was a substitute teacher at our church's CDC (child development center). I had just arrived and found out that the first tower was hit. I called James and asked him what happened at the World Trade Center and I then realized how serious it was. Just after that, the second tower was hit and then the Pentagon. We opened our church that night for a prayer service.
On a lighter note, our day did not turn out as we had planned. We were in Greenwood to work on the house. Our helper forgot and had planned to work.
I went to The Paper Rabbit to exchange something and James found two free tickets to the Clemson game on Facebook from an old high school classmate.
I talked him into going and we had so much fun. Thanks Cheryl.
Now we're home and I'm working on crafts. Night ya'll, Lynn

7 September 2010

I have finally had a good idea. I am going to buy myself some leg warmers and arm warmers like ballet dancers wear. I can easily take them off if my legs and arms get hot. I had this idea today as I was browsing the internet at lunch. Why didn't I think of this before? I also enjoyed quality time with "my boys" today on the front porch. Bailey and Dooley loved it. When you're petting Bailey, Dooley will come up and try to hog all of the attention. So you have to tell him to sit and wait his turn. I call him attention hog. It's not like they are never petted or loved. I give both of them their "love feast" for the day. This is when they have my attention one on one and I rub, scratch, and kiss them. Dooley could take it 24/7 if you could do it that long. He's a mess. And of course, Bailey has been used to all the attention for 3 years til we moved to Iva and then Bailey was moved to the outside. He occasionally wants to come in but for the most part, he loves the outside. Sorry to be so short tonight but i need to get up at 7-7:30 in the morning to do more work. Love and night ya'll, Lynn

6 September 2010

What can I say? We had a great Labor Day weekend. We headed to Elijah Clark State Park on Friday and rolled back in this afternoon. It was so relaxing and cool too. We were able to put up the awning and our lighthouse lights. They were so pretty. James made the comment that he was more relaxed this weekend than he has been in a long time. I tried several times to work on my first scrapbook but was unsuccessful. First, I used up my battery playing Solitaire. I retrieved the charger on Sunday and I forgot that we had put the program on a jump drive so that my computer would not be loaded down. I tried when we got home but I think I was too tired. Maybe next weekend. James listened to the Clemson game on the radio and watched other games on TV. We had some amazing garlic lime fajitas on Saturday night. They are a definite do again. McCormick seasoning pack plus a few other items. Sunday was the IBAG and it was delicious. Thank you, God for a wonderful, relaxing, amazing weekend with my hubby. I love you James Rodgers!! Night ya'll, Lynn

2 September 2010

Can I get a little sympathy here ?????
Sometimes being in the minority is good. Sometimes being the only female is an advantage. But tonight it wasn't. My usually sweet husband took the male side. A wasp had gotten in the house from the front door jam and he stung me. I threw my phone down and screamed. Did they come to my rescue? No, they sat there and laughed at me. When they saw the bite and the redness and the swelling, they were a little sympathetic. Every time that I get stung, the reaction is worse. Last time, we lived in Myrtle Beach and I had to go to the ER. Something stung my arm and breast. They were both red and swollen like a blister was on them. So, when the wasp got me tonight, I panicked. I put Benadryl gel on it and ice. Hopefully, it will not give me problems this weekend. Later, I found him and now he is in the commode, ready to be flushed to the septic tank. At least he won't get me again. Now, I am having shooting pains in that arm. Time for bed. At least if I'm asleep, it won't be hurting. Night ya'll, Lynn

Happy September 1st!! Wow, where has the year gone ?? It was just yesterday that we were in Florida at Disneyworld. Now, before we know it, it will be Christmas. I remember being a kid and thinking, Christmas will never get here. I am excited that tomorrow is my Friday. On the actual Friday, we will be headed to Elijah Clark State Park and 4 days of camping, just my hubby and me. A delayed 27th anniversary trip. Four days of camping, me and my hunny, and a time to relax!! Mmmmmm, can't wait!!

Ahhhh, married life is sooooo great!!!

23 August 2010

I AM SO DIS--APPOINTED!! The WalMart that Joshua and I went to tonight did not have season one of Drop Dead Diva!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to watch it tonight and I was sadly disappointed. Oh, well. I watched horders at 10 then the local news. I should have scrapbooked but I played solitare instead. I have two neat ideas for Johua and Kerry-Ellen's scrapbook and I need a piece of pink vellum to complete one page and I need a piece or two of halloween/clemson orange and black for the October page. So, I am stuck at the moment on that. I have a surprise that I want to do for my daughter so I can't say on here 'cause she sometimes reads my blog. Time for bed because it's coming close to MN and I'm striving to get to bed earlier. Night ya'll, lynn

22 August 2010

As I write this, I have watched Drop Dead Diva, my fav show. Next week is the 2 hour season finale. I will definitely buy season one and two when I can. It is nice to see the TV portray the lawyer as a plus sized girl and the fact that she can look nice. I want she and Grayson to get together so bad. Oh well that's the ropes of TV as my Little Nannie used to say. James and I had 2 relaxing days at the house: Friday night and also Saturday. Sunday was great but a rush as usual. We are so looking forward to our anniversary trip. 27th honeymoon here we come!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

20 August 2010

Happy Anniversary to my Best Man, James----almost. We had chosen this date originally for our wedding date because this was James' parent's wedding anniversary. We thought it would be sweet to honor them by doing this. But this was also the day my granddaddy died--my mom's dad. So we decided on our own date, the 27th. We usually wait until Labor Day weekend to go on our anniversary trip so that we can have a long weekend. We will be pulling out on September the 3rd and returning on September the 6th. Of coures, we will have the camper in tow. We enjoy staying in our our house. We have everything with us and we can carry all the things we want to do with us like watching TV, reading, scrapbooking, and relaxing. I have had a week off in June but that was getting up and running to the convention every day. This time will be pure relaxation. Our big window will face the lake at Clarks Hill. I have some wonderful memories there as a child. Now I will have wonderful memories there with my husband... the love of my life. Can't wait, honey. Until then.........

15 August 2010

We all got up late and laid around. I had a sinus headache and didn't feel good all morning. Casey was not feeling good so she drug around here too. We finally skipped breakfast and ate hot dogs for lunch and homemade fries.
Joshua left for G'wd and KeB, the three of us went to Hancock's Fabrics, WalMart, Creekside BBQ, and Books a Million. We came home and Casey and I packed more of her stuff to go back and washed more clothes. We're trying to par down the unnecessary stuff that she will have to pack, but, Lawd, it's still a bunch of stuff. Forget the books and paper and notebooks, the "other" stuff will kill you to the tune of $150.00 And we're not done yet....I thought we had all the stuff from last year Oh noooooo there's new stuff this year..... different room and more closets now!!! Oh Boy..... I love my sophomore daughter. Goodnight ya'll My love, Lynn

Friday, August 13,2010

It amazes me the comments on facebook about superstition. Why do people believe in superstitions? I guess that they have coincidentally had an event happen and now they are superstitious. God is our protector and guide, what do we have to fear?
Sorry I haven't been "vocal" lately. I'm trying to get in all the "Casey" time that I can. We move her back to NGU on Monday so my time is short.
Joshua will be here so I'm not as possessive of his time as I am of hers.
She is such a joy to be around and we have had such a good time together this summer. She and I share a love of vege pizza so we went and splurged at the local "pizza hut" of Iva today, aka Copeland's Pizza. She is so excited about decorating her room this year. She got the roommate and the suitemates that she wanted and also the room and dorm that she wanted. We need to go to WalMart and get some last minute items for her first aid kit and decorating supplies. I guess we will do that on Saturday. Pray for her this school year that she will do well in her studies and that God will continue to reveal Himself to her. P.S. You mothers with kids grades K thru 12, be glad. At least they come home at night. Night ya'll, Lynn

1 August 2010

The first of August---WOW!!! Where has this year gone, where has this summer gone. In three weeks, my baby girl will be back at North Greenville University. Just as I have gotten used to her being here, she will go back.
She will be a senior when I turn around next. Joshua has a friend here, Matt, and he has been here all weekend. We had a fun time in Helen, Georgia on Saturday with the church. Tubing, it was not so much fun. The river was not very full and I kept hitting the rocks and getting stuck. I stood up to get back on and lost my tube. I decided to get out and so did James. We walked back to the tubing place to get on the bus to go to the end. We enjoyed sitting in the rockers and enjoying the breeze. Today was a good day at church. We had Chinese for lunch and I had a long nap!!! A much needed nap!!!! Now, ready for bed Goodnight, Lynn

30 July 2010

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, but we've found out that some dear church members are moving. Plus, all the usual crazy stuff that goes on here. I have cut two heads of hair today, worked, started shopping for college items. Yes, she will be a sophmore but there were some cute things and some things she(CDR) just HAD to have!! She really loves turtles and so am trying to figure out a way to incorporate them into her room this year. I think I have a couple of ideas so far. I'll just have to find a way to surprise her with . No, I can't tell you 'cause she reads my blogs too....

14 July 2010

Oh HAPPY DAY !!!!!! My baby boy (granddog) is back. A lady saw him and called the vet with his rabies tag # to track down his owner. I am SO glad that she did. He was not very far, less than two miles. He ate 3 bowls of food. He is on the thin side so "Nana" gave him some left over chicken to give him some extra protein and calories. I went to water my garden and he chased the water for 15 minutes and soaked me in the process but that was ok. Bailey was glad to see him too. They played and ran and sniffed each other's tails!!! Thank you, God, that you care about the big and little things that we care about. Thank you for the miracle of bringing Dooley home. I love you!!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

Today did not feel like hump day but I'm glad that it was. I had a sinus headache for most of the day. It was hard to work under those circumstances. I finished what i could and laid down. I got up in time for church to fix the missionaries birthday tags and get ready. I am ready to feel better. Night ya'll, Lynn

5 July 2010

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while but we have been busy. We arrived home from vacation and one of our dear friends(and church member) had to have emergency surgery while in Myrtle Beach. James made the trip down and then we camped at night at a nearby lake campsite. Our friends, Unna and Robert, were camping there too. We cooked supper every night together and watched movies. Then it was 4th of July. James and I went to my sister's house for the 4th. We had hot dogs, hamburgers, beans, and potato salad. Yum, yum!!I transplanted several azeleas and other plants from Cheryl's garden to put in my back yard and i bought a bistro table, two chairs, and an umbrella to put out there too. I am hoping to create a prayer garden there. I have so many ideas......night ya'll, Lynn

June 23, 2010

Yes, I am up at 4:30 am with a sinus headache and stuffy sinuses. Can't get Dooley off of my mind too. I dreamed he was laying in the front yard next to the house. I miss him sooooo much. For those of you who don't know, Dooley is my son's lab retriever. He is 4 yrs. old and he is a lovable thing, would rather be petted than eat. We went on vacation last week and he was here at the house. Our neighbor, Doug, fed he and Bailey for us. Doug said he saw he and Bailey every day. Friday, neither one was here at the house. They usually stay together. Bailey is home and Dooley's not. Please pray that he is ok and that he is found!!! Thanks for your prayers. Have a blessed day, Lynn

Sunday, June 20,2010

I spent the night with my dad and mom last night. I went to church with dad this morning and got the privilege to be in the Sunday School class with him. It was great. We had dinner with Fatz Cafe' chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and potato salad. We spent most of the day with him then spent the rest of the day with my mother-in-law. She was both father and mother to him after his father died when he was 12. It was a great day, the best ever!!!!

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Today has been a long day. We were at the convention all morning. Then the kids joined us and we had our picture made at the Olan Mills booth. We ate at Chicago Uno Pizza. Good but expensive. Then I went to a scrapbooking store while the kids went into the mall. We came back to the hotel so can rest and the kids could swim. No such luck for peace and quiet. It was raining and they couldn't get in the pool. I have been cross stitching and reading the new Debbie Macomber book Hannah's Wish. Sad in the beginning but sweet in the end. We're waiting on James to go and get something light to eat. Up early in the am for Epcot and the big 5-0!!
Woo Hoo!!!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

Tuesday, May 15, 2010

Today was a long, long day. We were in the convention center ALL day!! We finally got the great commission resurgence passed. I am trusting God that he will work it out and deal with those who are wrong. I voted the way that my God told me to vote. We are worn out but went to eat supper with the kids. We are all going to get our picture made in the am from Olan Mills. We have seen a few friends but not many. I have read alot this week and cross stitched as well. For the most part, it has been relaxing. Thursday, we will go to Epcot. I can't wait. Night ya'll, Lynn

Today is a tribute and in honor of my mom's mom, Mama. She gave me her love of strawberries and cooking. Wish she had given me the gift of sewing that she had. I hope I can be half the woman that she was. I hope she can hear in heaven--- Happy Birthday, Mama. I love you and miss you so much. Enough said, Night ya'll, Lynn

Saturday, June 12,2010

Sorry I haven't written in such a long time but this week has been incredibly busy and emotionally stressful. I flew out on Sunday afternoon to Norfolk, Va to then drive to Elizabeth City, NC to see a pt. Drive back Norfolk then fly home. Back to the office on Tuesday and find out that my uncle Jim received his ultimate healing. He went to sleep at home in his bed and woke up in heaven. Praise the Lord!! Off Thursday for the funeral and back to work Friday. Finished at 10:30 and off to Savannah. Arrive in Savannah early this am. Missed lunch seating at The Lady and Sons so Wild Wings was the pick!! Back on the road. Stopped a couple of times for rest stops and shopping/gas stops and we are finally in Orlando. Whew, now vacation can begin for me, James has to work now!!

June 3, 2010

I had a pt. in Augusta today so I had to stop and see Uncle Jim and Aunt Gloria. I saw him two weeks ago and there has been a big change. He has no muscle or fat on his body. I now know what the men from the concentration camps looked like. He is so ready to go. God, please be merciful and let him come to you soon. Just make the transition smooth. That;s all he asks. Aunt Gloria looks so tired. He wants her in there all the time. I hope he goes soon. Night ya'll, Lynn

June 1, 2010

Apparently, my "age" is catching up with me. I went in Wal-Mart to buy some toilet paper and I saw a cute pair of blue jean crop pants. I picked them up and looped them over my arm. I promptly paid for the TP, a pack of toe rings and out the door I went. It was only when I got in the car that I realized that I didn't pay for the pants. I promptly walked back in and went to register # 1 and paid for them. I felt like a thief and my 'dear' husband called me a kleptomaniac. Thanks hons for making me feel better about the whole thing. I have so much to look forward to when i TURN THE BIG 5-0. Night Ya'll, Lynn

Friday, May 21,2010

Today, I was blessed. I spent the day with my two neices, Linden and Jillian. We played outside, played inside, and watched cartoons. We had so much fun. Jillian took a bunch of random photos with my Blackberry. She handed the phone back for me to see and I deleted the bad ones. I got a couple of good ones of her and Linden together. I forgot my camera so I had to use the phone. Maybe next time. What a great day, though. Please continue to remember my uncle, who is in the last stages of terminal cancer. He doesn't have long, possibly days. Thanks for your prayers. Night ya'll, Lynn

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Today was a busy day!! I got some of my people called but some of them were not at home. I'm running against a time line because I am off on Friday to keep my neices. Tomorrow will be a busy day. I can't wait to spend time with them. I haven't seen them in so long to spend time with them. Casey is going with me so I can have one on one time with both of them. I hope I can get a good picture of both of them together so I can put it in a frame for my bedroom. I love those two girls. I was adopted by them to be their aunt!! So sweet!! Night ya'll, Lynn

Tuesday, May 18,2010

Today has been a long day. I started out at 7 am and didn't stop until 6 pm. I had to go to bed for awhile. I was hurting and sleepy too. I went to Self Regional to see a new pt. then to Newberry to see a former pt. It was great to see both husband and wife because they are both my pts. Had lunch with my son and Matt at Kentucky Fried Chicken. Then I spent some time with my grand dog, Dooley. He loves getting petted so we had a love fest on the front porch. I cleaned his ears and he loved that. He had so many ticks on him. I have to get him and Bailey a flea and tick collar because the Frontline is not doing the job. Bailey got down after I got a tick off of his ear. He's a sweetie too. He's my sweet little boy. I gave he and Dooley my steak from supper. Boy, was I a popoular mom and Nana!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

May 13, 2010

Today was a good day. Work was good, got lots done. I then took a nap. We ate supper in Abbeville with some friends. Pizza House is the bomb. It is yum-o as Rachel Ray would say. I am getting our Sunday school lesson together. We are going to begin a study on Jesus' miracles. First, will be an overview of miracles. I hope they enjoy it. Please pray for my uncle Jim (dad's only brother left). He has terminal cancer and he is in alot of pain. Pray that God will be merciful and take him home to glory. Thanks for your prayers. Night ya'll, Lynn

May 12, 2010

Today was a good day. I got alot of work done and church was great. We had Kerry Ellen here today and we had to take her to experience the IBAG or Iva Buffet and Grille. She enjoyed herself a bacon cheeseburger all the way(chili, onions, and mustard) and home fries. She left too early but she wanted to get back to Greenville before it got dark. Joshua gave her a ring today, no not an engagement ring. It was a Tacori with a canary colored stone. She loved it, she looked at it all day. She is definitely a keeper!!! One day she will be my daughter-in-love. I can't wait 'cause that means she will give me a grandchild!! Tee, hee! night ya'll, Lynn

Mother's Day 2010

Today was a great day. I was privileged to spend the day in church with my 85 yr. old mom. My sister and I cooked lunch and made a huge fruit bowl. It was delicious and the fellowship was sweet. She got flowers, a bird house, and a cup and saucer planter. She wants a silk plant arrangement put in it for the kitchen. Then, I got to spend the evening with my kids. We ate supper and went to Books-A-Million for a cup of coffee. The perfect ending to a perfect day. Night ya'll, Lynn

5/6/10

I have had the most precious day. I worked then spent time with my darling daughter. I miss her so much when she is at school. We had a girl's night. We went shopping and I bought her a new pair of Rainbow sandals. Her old ones looked plum pititful. She didn't want to throw them away. I made a deal with her. When the new ones are broken in, she throws the grungy ones away. We had salad at Ruby Tuesdays and went to the mall. We got home at 10:30pm. Long but fun day. Spending time with my only daughter, the light of my life.........priceless.

wonderful wednesdays in May

So sorry I have been neglecting my blog but it has been a busy week. And I'm enjoying my daughter, Casey being home from college. I worked all day, got ready for church, then went to church. Good lesson for the ladies in Mosaic. He's just not that into you but God is. I love that title. Let that sink in and sleep well. Goodnight ya'll, Lynn

Sundays in May # 1

Well, the first day of the week is here. I have to work some today so it is not totally a day of rest. I will get up early tomorrow and will finish before my deadline. Then I have 2 admissions this week, one tomorrow and one Tuesday. Busy week at work, but at least I have a job. I have some housecleaning to do after work tomorrow and then I have a few cards to make !! Fun, fun, fun!!!

Frazzled Friday

It's Friday am and I'm still up tweeking my blog. I am trying to change the background post color and can't seem to do it. I have changed every other color that I can. Can't seem to find a place to change the background color. Orange from my last design with seashells doesn't go with strawberries very well. It's late, or really early to be technical, so good night ya;ll, Lynn

Big Girl Panties

Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. The fibro has been bad lately. I am trying to withstand and not be a cry baby. Any change in schedule is bad for me but I'm trying to keep going and just put on my big girl panties and deal with it. I'm not a quitter. I'm like my dad, to stubborn to just hand it over. So I keep going on. Why do people want to get on disability for nothing? I want to work as long as I can especially if I can feel good. Have a good evening ya'll, Lynn

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Busy Day

I have worked all day and went with a friend to her oncologist's office. It was Dr. Stephenson. He is as sweet as ever. I am really impressed with the way the office has expanded over there.
It made me want to work for the cancer center again. For a few minutes anyway. I am tired tonight. I think I will go to bed now. 'Night ya'll.

Saturday, April 17, 2010

It's Friday, YEAH !!!!!!!! Even though I have a ton of work to do tomorrow around here, I am glad for a change of pace and scenery. I can be outside (with a mask) but I have several things to do and I love to work outside!!! I would like to be able to plant some azeleas in the front later on. I will need someone to till up the ground so I won't have to work so hard before planting. I have plenty of ideas for making the yard look so great.
I have to get the bulletin and the prayer list done while James takes off the trash and recyclables. And take Dooley to the lake to get wet. Then, I'll go to the hardware store to get a mask and a regular tomato plant. My grape tomato is growing and my strawberry plants are growing like weeds. Then outside to get the work done. I just hope I don't overdo it and not be able to move tomorrow. That's what I usually do when I feel good. We'll see what tomorrow brings. This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. Amen!!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate Tuesdays. I used to like Tuesdays because that meant that Mondays were over. But nooooooooooooooo..............not anymore!!!!! Tuesdays are now my Fridays but it is not goof off Friday. All of my work is due on Tuesdays. So that's why I hate it. If I miss a day calling at least 5-6 patients per day, then I am behind. It sounds easy but if other things come up, then it pushes you to get them all called and documented on the computer. There are definite pros and cons to this job. If I had a 9-5 then when I get home, I'm home. I am somewhat flexible here at home but.... I don't know. I think I'm getting burned out but there is no other job available that I can make the money that I make now. I am trying to hang on until at least the end of the year. I will be at the same company 5 years in October. Thanks for letting me vent. 'night ya'll.

Pollen Police

I wish there was a pollen police. Pollen would be fined when it was high and it was blowing around everywhere. I never thought that I would be saying this but RAIN - please come quickly and wash this yellow dust away!!!! The meds are making me sleepy and the congestion is giving me headaches-sick headaches. Summer time is coming- no pollen then- thankya lawdy-halleluhyer!!!

Wednesday

Well, they say that all good things must come to an end. Tomorrow we break camp and head back to the other paradise-Iva. The good things about going home-Maundy Thursday services, seeing my son and daughter, and getting a kiss from Bailey-Boo and Dooley-Do. The bad thing ... back to work on Friday. The other good thing... memories that cannot be taken away...priceless. Take care everyone and celebrate the risen Savior!!

Friday

Today has been a good day. I called several pts. today and will have to work tomorrow. My baby girl came home today. Joshua met the Bishops tonight and he's a keeper, they say. He got to drive the Tahoe back to her dad and step-mom's house. Kerry-Ellen doesn't even get to do that ! Tomorrow, he will meet her mom and step-dad. Hope this meeting goes well too. I'm glad that they like my son. I don't want to say anything to quickly, but I think Kerry-Ellen's a keeper too. It's like she's been with us for a long time. I can't explain it but I love her already.
It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. Good night.

Today was a great day. I had a good day at work. Everyone was here for dinner. Casey, Joshua, Kerry-Ellen, James, and me. We had roasted chicken, green beans, and macaroni and cheese pie. God is so good

Went to the oncologist's office with Carol (church member) and she has a different cancer than they first thought. She still has to take chemo and radiation but no surgery and he is striving to cure her. She starts Monday. Please keep her in your prayers. Worked today but didn't get very much accomplished. I had a bad sinus headache. After work, we went to Toccoa to see another church member who lost his sister on Wednesday. Busy day but satisfying. Goodnight....

Today was a great day. We took Joshua to Greenwood and then went to Augusta to see a church member that is in the Eisenhower Medical Center. Please pray for Carol: she has cancer. We then met up with a friend and her daughter that we have not seen in forever. It was a great time together. Friends do wonderful things when you are with them- they make you smile and laugh. We then stopped and saw my uncle Jim and Aunt Gloria. My uncle has advanced prostate cancer and is going down weekly. Please pray for him as well and my aunt as she cares for him. Back to G'wood to get Joshua and head home. A long day with no down time but was a rewarding time. The Lord's day tomorrow. Be blessed, Lynn

Gracious am I glad that it is almost Friday. The day was rough. My fibro has been full force today. Today makes me think about trying to get my disability approved. I have been fighting it for 4 years and it is getting progressively worse. Maybe tomorrow will be better...... G'night.

Mucky Monday

Just a quick note for the day. It rained last night so you know what that means, yes a bad day. So I am working tonight. Hope everyone is well, happy, and loved. I know Jesus loves you. If he had a wallet, your picture would be in it. Love to all, Lynn

Super Saturdays

We slept late - it was so wonderful. We got up and headed to Greenwood. James worked on the heater in the house and I cleaned out the yukky freezer. It stunk SO bad but I cleaned it. It is soaking with water and Cholrox now. I hope I can get the smell out so we can use it.
We joined the senior's group and ate supper. The bulletins are done - Yea, yea !! And now watching a great love story - The Notebook by the best, Nicholas Sparks. G'night and sweet dreams!!

Fanstastic Fridays

Today was great~ I got to spend time with my neices- Linden and Jillian. They are precious. I took Little Bit(Jillian) her fleece throw that I had made her. It was pink with baby bears that were embossed on the material. Linden's was yellow with ladybugs and butterflies on it. It matched her room. I was there just long enough for Jillian to remember my name and learn to say it. She looked for me after they got home from taking Linden to school. I wish i could have stayed all day to play with her. But I had to work. I had the chance to spend time with Joshua. I took him to Lander to see his girlfriend, Kerry Ellen and I got to meet her. She's so sweet!! At least it was Friday, the last workday of the week. The day went by relatively fast. We put up new blinds that match the curtains that are in Gwd. I don't want to take them off of the window until we sell the house. They are covering the living room area and it is a large window.
Well, I've rambled too long. Have a great weekend, Lynn

Wednesdays

Overslept the clock. Jumped up and ran(really crept) down the hall and turned computer on. Got booklet together for admission, jumped in the shower, dried hair and headed to Easley for an admit. Nice couple but sad situation. Young gal with MS. I pray that I can help her and make a difference. Back and on the phon-o until time for church. Good mid-week meeting. We're in Revelation, yes, you read correctly. My husband has gone crazy for the second time. His pastor friends think he's crazy to study Revelation one time, much less two. Pray for my cousin and her husband, they are adopting kids, yes plural. They will be great parents. Time for bed, G'night!

Terrific Thursday

Slept late again, just til 10 AM. Majorly cleaned our bathroom and it looks so good. Then showered and dressed. We headed to Greenwood for Joshua's dental cleaning. We went along for moral support (JK, he is 24 for those of you that don't know). We stopped by the house and cleaned out another closet. We also made some major decisions about the house, particularly the carpet. Can't wait til everything is done and it is out of our name. Never been so glad to get rid of a house. It's a great house, we just don't need it now. Please pray Saturday, a group of Family Practice Residents will be touring the house around 3pm. Goodnight ya'll.

Wonderful Wednesdays

I was up at 6:30 AM until 8:30 am on my first day off to put in my last few patients. Then I slept until noon. I read until early afternoon and ran errands with the hubby. Came home and cooked chicken fried rice by Paula Deen. Can i say YUM-MY!!! I also fixed my apple crisp too for the dinner at church. We were late getting to church but everyone loved both of the dishes. Now home to rest and computer time and reading. until bedtime.... Sweet dreams.....

Mucky Monday

Mondays are all hard. I don't know why, they just are. I did enjoy a few minutes outside with the boys, Bailey and Dooley. They are my "son" and "grandson", a jackabee and a black laborador. Dooley would rather be petted than eat. Bailey would rather eat than be petted. They are both my sweet boys. I misss them being inside. But when you live in a parsonage, you have to obey the rules. One day, I will have my own home again and they can come and go as they please. Which will be inside 99% of the time !!!!!

lazy Sun Days

We cancelled church yesterday early so when we woke up this morning and it was sunny, I was like oh no, we could have had church. Looking forward to tonight and seeing "our flock" that we missed this am. We have been sooo lazy today! It has felt nice but now I must face the music--clean the bedroom while I listen to praise music. It makes a yukky task fun. See ya'll later, strawberry girl2

Good Friends, Good Food

I had a typical day at work. We went to supper with great friends - Jim and LouEllen Osteen. What a great time we had. He is the transitional pastor at Union Baptist Church in Iva. We laughed and laughed and laughed. Nothing better than good friends and time to chat and share.....

Saturday pm musings

We got alot of things done today. Slept late.....felt sooooo good. We took the kids (our dog, Bailey, and our granddog, Dooley) with us to the dump. They love to ride anywhere!!! I had a huge amount of paper to recycle, two bags of trash, and a huge bag of plastics to recycle. Then we picked up limbs from the front yard. Then we went grocery shopping. Never take an adult child with you. They are worse than a middle schooler. Buy this, buy that!!! He drove me CRAZY!!!!! Home to watch Clemson get beat by Duke and to do the bulletin and prayer list.

Visiting Partners

Some of you may know that my husband is a pastor. Today, we went visiting. We haven't done that in a while. I have forgotten how much fun that it is. You go to see someone with the suposition that you are ministering to them and you are the one that ends up being ministered to. We have such sweet people at Poplar Spring and we enjoyed visiting with three of them today. First was Sandra Lollis and her mother, Mrs. Simpson. Mrs. Simpson had taken a muscle relaxer for her tight muscles in her neck and she was, what's the saying, out like a light. We had a great visit with Sandra and her daughter, Stacy. Then we went to check on Joe and Margaret Furguile. Margaret has been sick forever with a terrible cough and almost pneumonia. If it's not Mrs. Margaret, you have missed a good chance. That cough is still deep and she's on her second round of antibiotics. Please pray for these two ladies when you have your quiet time.
And last, please pray for Haiti as the aftershocks that have been strong too. Haiti has a special place in my heart as it was the destination of my first mission trip. We came into Port-au-Prince then took an 8 hour truck ride to San Michel. It sounds so glamourous but it was not. We in the US have much to be grateful for and we pass it by so quickly and just assume it will always be there. Please don't anymore!! I've been off a week so I'll get off of my soapbox now. Good night or good morning!

Perfect End to a Day

I had an admission in Iva of all places. Then I finished my day. I went to have a massage and oh, my heaven, it was wonderful. If you have never gotten a massage, do yourself a favor and get one. It will not be your last, I promise. It is so relaxing!!!! Had a wonderful dinner with the fam and a friend, Derek. Now, gonna have some chillaxin' that's country for chilling and relaxing, ya'll.

Long day at work but I was finished at 7:00 pm. I am staying up too late at night. That's gotta stop. I'm gonna try for 12:oo tonight. We'll see if it happens ((*-*))

The Second Week in January

I can't believe that it is the second week of January. My son is back at school and my daughter left yesterday and starts class on Wednesday. I still can't believe that they are back already. Before you know it, it will be May and they'll be out again. So on James and I go with their lives. I'm working and so is James. Please pray for him, he's looking for another job to supplement our income. It is hard with 2 kids in college. There is more and more happening at our church, Poplar Spring. If you're in the Anderson/Iva area, come and join us. We're having fun learning more about Jesus and having so much fun.

The nurse in action

My husband and daughter were/are sick. I was the nurse/mom last night, cleaning up, pouring drinks- Sprite, and rubbing backs. So glad they are moving around and feeling better today. Not that I mind but my fibro is acting up today. They are my nurses today. I have a great family. I'm also glad that Joshua is not here to get sick. I pray this isn't what the new year is going to be like all year!!!!
