I AM SO DIS--APPOINTED!! The WalMart that Joshua and I went to tonight did not have season one of Drop Dead Diva!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to watch it tonight and I was sadly disappointed. Oh, well. I watched horders at 10 then the local news. I should have scrapbooked but I played solitare instead. I have two neat ideas for Johua and Kerry-Ellen's scrapbook and I need a piece of pink vellum to complete one page and I need a piece or two of halloween/clemson orange and black for the October page. So, I am stuck at the moment on that. I have a surprise that I want to do for my daughter so I can't say on here 'cause she sometimes reads my blog. Time for bed because it's coming close to MN and I'm striving to get to bed earlier. Night ya'll, lynn

As I write this, I have watched Drop Dead Diva, my fav show. Next week is the 2 hour season finale. I will definitely buy season one and two when I can. It is nice to see the TV portray the lawyer as a plus sized girl and the fact that she can look nice. I want she and Grayson to get together so bad. Oh well that's the ropes of TV as my Little Nannie used to say. James and I had 2 relaxing days at the house: Friday night and also Saturday. Sunday was great but a rush as usual. We are so looking forward to our anniversary trip. 27th honeymoon here we come!!! Night ya'll, Lynn

20 August 2010

Happy Anniversary to my Best Man, James----almost. We had chosen this date originally for our wedding date because this was James' parent's wedding anniversary. We thought it would be sweet to honor them by doing this. But this was also the day my granddaddy died--my mom's dad. So we decided on our own date, the 27th. We usually wait until Labor Day weekend to go on our anniversary trip so that we can have a long weekend. We will be pulling out on September the 3rd and returning on September the 6th. Of coures, we will have the camper in tow. We enjoy staying in our our house. We have everything with us and we can carry all the things we want to do with us like watching TV, reading, scrapbooking, and relaxing. I have had a week off in June but that was getting up and running to the convention every day. This time will be pure relaxation. Our big window will face the lake at Clarks Hill. I have some wonderful memories there as a child. Now I will have wonderful memories there with my husband... the love of my life. Can't wait, honey. Until then.........

15 August 2010

We all got up late and laid around. I had a sinus headache and didn't feel good all morning. Casey was not feeling good so she drug around here too. We finally skipped breakfast and ate hot dogs for lunch and homemade fries.
Joshua left for G'wd and KeB, the three of us went to Hancock's Fabrics, WalMart, Creekside BBQ, and Books a Million. We came home and Casey and I packed more of her stuff to go back and washed more clothes. We're trying to par down the unnecessary stuff that she will have to pack, but, Lawd, it's still a bunch of stuff. Forget the books and paper and notebooks, the "other" stuff will kill you to the tune of $150.00 And we're not done yet....I thought we had all the stuff from last year Oh noooooo there's new stuff this year..... different room and more closets now!!! Oh Boy..... I love my sophomore daughter. Goodnight ya'll My love, Lynn

It amazes me the comments on facebook about superstition. Why do people believe in superstitions? I guess that they have coincidentally had an event happen and now they are superstitious. God is our protector and guide, what do we have to fear?
Sorry I haven't been "vocal" lately. I'm trying to get in all the "Casey" time that I can. We move her back to NGU on Monday so my time is short.
Joshua will be here so I'm not as possessive of his time as I am of hers.
She is such a joy to be around and we have had such a good time together this summer. She and I share a love of vege pizza so we went and splurged at the local "pizza hut" of Iva today, aka Copeland's Pizza. She is so excited about decorating her room this year. She got the roommate and the suitemates that she wanted and also the room and dorm that she wanted. We need to go to WalMart and get some last minute items for her first aid kit and decorating supplies. I guess we will do that on Saturday. Pray for her this school year that she will do well in her studies and that God will continue to reveal Himself to her. P.S. You mothers with kids grades K thru 12, be glad. At least they come home at night. Night ya'll, Lynn

1 August 2010

The first of August---WOW!!! Where has this year gone, where has this summer gone. In three weeks, my baby girl will be back at North Greenville University. Just as I have gotten used to her being here, she will go back.
She will be a senior when I turn around next. Joshua has a friend here, Matt, and he has been here all weekend. We had a fun time in Helen, Georgia on Saturday with the church. Tubing, it was not so much fun. The river was not very full and I kept hitting the rocks and getting stuck. I stood up to get back on and lost my tube. I decided to get out and so did James. We walked back to the tubing place to get on the bus to go to the end. We enjoyed sitting in the rockers and enjoying the breeze. Today was a good day at church. We had Chinese for lunch and I had a long nap!!! A much needed nap!!!! Now, ready for bed Goodnight, Lynn
