New Member of the Family

Well.......since it has been over 3 months since Bailey disappeared, we decided to go and look for a new pet. Casey and James went to Anderson PAWS and found a Yorkie and Schnauzer mix.... a shorkie.  She is adorable!!!  The more time that I have her, the more I love her.  I have had male puppies for a while now.  I have had to get used to this girl thing!!!!  She has taken to Dooley and Champ fairly well and she can go potty when they are outside too.  We went to PETSmart on Saturday and she has a new bowl and a new collar.  There are so many things in there, I could go crazy!!!!  Maybe I'll figure out how to put pics on here soon.  Have a good day, Ya'll,   Lynn

We have had a good time in NOLA or New Orleans, La,  It  has been a fun trip, and inspiring trip, and a tiring trip at times.  There many things that I want to do when I get home.  I hope my daughter will help me.

Wow, it is already the end of May. The next time that I turn around, Casey will be starting her senioryear and Joshua will be getting ready to graduate. We are camping at Magnolia RV Park in Joanna this weekend.  James took a rare Sunday off and we are relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We enjoyed the pool and just kicking back and reading.  Casey is on her way home from Charleston for a friend's wedding.  We are going to James' mom's church tomorrow.  We rarely get to worship with her so it will be a treat.  Who knows what we'll  be doing Sunday evening.  We have been invited to a friend's church that has recently begun to explode.  So good to see God continuing to move despite the conditions in our nation today.  Well, I've rambled on enough for now.  Night ya'll, Lynn

My baby girl is home

We moved Casey back home today. I didn't think that she had that much stuff but she had a car full and 1/2 of the Ford Ranger full. That did include the loft bed. She is home for the summer. One move in Senior year and one move out and that's it for college. I know she'll be ordering her graduation items soon. I can't believe that she is a senior. Where did the time go??? She was just a little girl......

It is good to see our homebound people but each time that we see Janet, she looks weaker. We did get a ramp built for her tonight. A couple of guys will go back and put on the latticework to finish up. I hope she can use it for a long time but I'm afraid that this will not be the case. I love her so much and I want her around selfishly so I can learn more from her. I do not want her to suffer for a second.

One Tired Puppy

Last night on our date night, we went to Greenville. I did have a doctor's appointment and an appointment for the Apple store for my phone. I think it is working properly now. We went to Barnes and Nobles and I got my favorite Mocha Latte. I enjoyed it and we headed home. I thought that I would take my sleeping pill and go off to lala land. Well, we got home and I got interested in a movie on Lifetime about Mormons and multiple marriage partners. By the time it went off it was 4 am and too late to take a sleeping pill. I went to bed and tossed and turned. I finally feel asleep after 5 am. At 9 am, I was up and awake. So..... tonight, I am very tired and ready to go to bed anytime!!

April 15,2012 Where have the days gone? The time has flown by. Easter had come and gone. I guess it is because we did not have a winter. It is mid-April and will be gone when we turn around. May days will be upon us. Weddings are in the air this year. My nephew, Ray will be wed in July. His brother, Kevin asked his girl of 5 years to marry him Friday. My other nephew is in a good, stable relationship that I hope will end in a marriage. I have been working hard but have decided to take it easy for a while. Some of our nurses have 14 cases and I have breaking my neck and having 23 and 24. This chick is taking it easy for a while. Hope ya'll have a good rest of the month. Night ya'll, Lynn

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY YA'LL!!!!!!! I am up and att'em this morning. I am cleaning out my plasticware and making sure I have all the tops for the bottoms. I have a load of clothes washing and drying and have the hubby washing all the dishes that don't/can't go in the dishwasher. I have a couple of other plans for today if I get to them. I do have a massage scheduled for 2:30 pm and I may get my nails did. This is me time that is long overdue that I put off for doing other things but I'm not going to anymore. This manicure has lasted almost two weeks and I don't pick at my nails when they are painted. If the rain holds out, we may take Joshua up on the free tickets to Clemson baseball tonight. I need to get my Sunday School and Children's Church things ready before the ball game though. I will be whupped out when we get home. Have a good day and don't get pinched ya'll!!

Can you say slacker?? I can't believe that it has been 2 months since I posted a comment on here. It seems like I have been very busy but I really have not been. All I have done is work, church, and watching TV. I can't really account for anything big these last two months. But I have big news now. Casey, our college girl, is going to Spain on her first international mission trip. Please pray for the hearts of the African immigrants that she will be sharing with as they are Muslim. Please also pray for her safety and those in her group. She is so excited and so are we! We wish we could be with her to see her reaction to all the wonderful things that she will experience and feel. We can't wait until she returns safely and tells us all about what she has seen, felt, and tasted while there!! Pray that she will grow spiritually while there and that she will carry out Matthew 28:18 by "going and making disciples in all nations". I am smiling as I write this and thinking yes, that's my girl and I am a proud mama, Mornin' ya'll, Lynn

Well, I want to first say thank you to the Lord above for hearing the prayers of His people. I haven't shared this with my Facebook friends or blog friends but James had a physical and his PSA was 25.1. For those of you none medicos, the normal is 0-5. He had a biopsy on the 6th of this month and the results were negative!!! He doesn't have prostate cancer!! I have been on the opposite end of the medical field this past month and it is a scary and frustrating time waiting for results!!
We don't always know why we go through situations but I have had perfect peace through all of this. We decided at the beginning that we were going to praise the Lord regardless of the outcome. We truly praised Him in this storm!

Two days ago, I got to do something that I have never done before. Wish my dad a happy 86th birthday! We gave him a sound amplifier that looks like a bluetooth. I really bought it for mom. She will not have to listen to the TV so loud. He is precious! He wanted to know if it could be used with his cell phone. I guess our next purchase for him will be a bluetooth! Lord help us!!!

16 October 2011 "This And That"

Sorry it has been so long since I've written a post but you know how it is. Friday night we enjoyed a pizza at Tigertown Pizza. The sausage and onion was so good and chewy!! Then we came home and enjoyed our computers and washed clothes. We slept in and started clothes again. We went to the grocery store to resupply our stash of Dr. Pepper 10. Contrary to the current commercial, Dr. Pepper 10 is for women too!! Why can't we like it too?? Today, we went to church and will cook this afternoon for Act II, the drama team from North Greenville University. We interrupt this post for a shout out.....Way to go Crusaders!!! Act II is awesome. Come and see them and you won't be sorry!!

This past weekend was busy and fun. Friday night, we spent the night in Greenwood at James' mom's house after we ate at the Palmetto Pizza Palace with Casey and her friend, Kyle. Saturday, we slept late (and it felt so good). We cleaned up and went to the hospital and saw our nephew, Ray. Please pray for him. He has Crohn's disease and it is flaring. He was discharged on Sunday. Later, we headed to North Greenville to Parent's weekend. We braved the cold weather to cheer the Crusaders to victory. We ate supper at Waffle house (I had a big bowl of grits and they were SO good). Then we headed home. We had church on Sunday and lunch at Bojangles!!
Great weekend but just TOO STINKIN' SHORT!!!!!! Night Ya'll, Lynn

Today has been a bad day. My fibro has acted up today. I was still able to work, though. We went to eat Chinese and then to the grocery store. Later, we went to visit a church member. The Beach was great this afternoon!! I picked up all of the sandollars that I could possibly want. They are so beautiful!! I could live here and make shell items for a living. God showed out once again when he made shells. They are just like our thumb print, each one, one of a kind. I have never seen so many shells. I can't wait to cover an old bottle with the shells. I need to look up my old faithful glue gun. Maybe I do need to go back to reality.... Night ya'll, Lynn

The vacation thing is great but.... it is also teasing. You go and enjoy yourself and then you have to go home. What a letdown. Reality sets in. You spend your days dreaming of the great time you had and want to go back. This is while you're slaving away at the job that you have. We are still enjoying our time on Jekyll but I know it's coming. I love my life and all that goes with it. But the pull of the sea and lighthouses are always at the back of my mind. Jesus is my lighthouse... I guess that this is why I love lighthouses SO much. We had a picnic lunch today at the lighthouse on St. Simon's Island and then climbed the light. I still haven't figued out how to add pictures to my blog. But I am going to figure it out so that you can see the view that we saw today. A-mazing does not do it justice!! God really showed off when He made the world. Anywhere you go, it is beautiful. We are looking forward to Tuesday am. We were able to get a limited reservation to go to Sapelo Island and see the lighthouse there. I cannot wait. Night ya'll, Lynn

4 days till I can pretend that I am retired or wealthy enough for trips anytime I want to go
4 days to see my favorite lighthouse SSI or St. Simon's Lighthouse

What is all of this babbble you say?????
James and I are leaving in the truck, pulling our vacation home to Jekkyl Island on Thursday morning to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. There are no campgrounds on SSI so we camp on neighboring Jekkyl Island. We plan a day trip to SSI to see the lighthouse, walk around in town and visit our favorite bookstore. The rest of the time, we will do whatever.... read, scrapbook, watch TV, sleep.....
Can you tell that I'm excited???
Now off to take a nap and to dream of the week to come.mmmmmmmm

This weekend has been so fun and relaxing!! Friday night, we went to the Four Seasons and had steak. We went to see the movie, The Help. Today, we ran errands and ate at The Sweetery!!
